  • Wood & Textiles is a design & technology class with a difference! 
    Please note: For safety reasons, a class must be attended in one of Sarah’s other classes prior to attending the Wood & Textiles class… making this a second class option only! Please phone us for more details!
  • Students will cover…

    • Tool Identification & Usage
    • Tool Safety
    • Whittling & Carving
    • Pyrography (wood burning)
    • Hand sawing with a mitre box
    • Cutting using a jigsaw
    • Sanding (hand & electric)
    • Nailing with a hammer
    • Painting & Staining

    Classes may also include…

    • Sewing by hand or with a machine
    • Weaving
    • Paracord & Macrame projects
    • Creating stencils for t-shirts
    • Stained glass design
    • Lino printing
    • Tye dying
    • Screen Printing

    Most materials are provided!

    Extra costs may be involved depending on projects chosen by the group at the commencement of the semester, for example own t-shirt for stencilling.

    All students produced works will be collected and displayed at the Presentation Afternoon for this semester.

    Dates for 2018 Presentation Afternoons are:

  • Teacher: Sarah-Ann Nicholson-Holden

    Classes will be taught by Sarah-Ann Nicholson-Holden from Rainbow Productions. Sarah-Ann is our head teacher bringing with her over 30 years experience teaching all ages and abilities from Primary to TAFE level. She is currently homeschooling two of her three boys aged 12 & 14, while her 15 year old is now successfully studying at TAFE. Sarah-Ann teaches a range of different classes at both venues and is passionate about all her students and assisting them to succeed in whatever they set their mind to! Sarah has a natural bent to bring out the best in all her students!
