Drama & Filmmaking

  • Learn drama and acting skills for both film and tv! Students will learn the techniques to be a screen star.
  • Students will learn drama skills, and be filmed every week, using short scenes that have specified lines, but leave open unlimited possibilities for setting, characters, and circumstances.

    • Overcoming Performance Anxiety
    • Confidence performing in front of the camera
    • Vocal Technique
    • Team Building
    • Audition Skills
    • Analysing scripts
    • Understanding camera angle, eyelines and marks
    • Basic on-set technical elements

    This semester students will produce an assortment of short films to be viewed at the Presentation afternoon at the end of the year.

    Dates for 2019 Presentation Afternoons are:

    • Semester 1: Mid Year – Friday Afternoon 5th July
    • Semester 2: Final – Saturday 7th December

    Ian has over 35 years experience in the industry spanning film, television and stage productions. He is experienced in teaching all aspects of acting and singing, and has a passion for helping students get the most out of their experiences on stage, screen and indeed in life.
