  • Art is a diverse range of human activities in creating visual, auditory or performing artworks, expressing the author’s imaginative or technical skill, intended to be appreciated for their beauty or emotional power!
  • Classes may include…

     

    • Pencil drawing – styles, shading, drawing what you see, abstract – real life.
    • Crayons, pastels, chalk – mediums which work best on dark backgrounds to make vivid pictures.
    • Painting with Acrylics – working with paint, mixing colours, shading and form
    • Papier-mâché projects-  easy sculpture technique for making just about anything
    • Creating with Modelling clay (Scupey/Fimo) – great for décor, jewellery, boxes and beads

     

    Most materials are provided!

    Extra costs may be involved depending on projects chosen by the group at the commencement of the semester, for example personal canvasses for painting.

    All students produced works will be collected and displayed at the Presentation Afternoon for this semester.

    Dates for 2018 Presentation Afternoons are:

    • Semester 1: 30th June

    Classes will be taught by Sarah-Ann Nicholson-Holden from Rainbow Productions. Sarah-Ann is our head teacher bringing with her over 30 years experience teaching all ages and abilities from Primary to TAFE level. She is currently homeschooling two of her three boys aged 12 & 14, while her 15 year old is now successfully studying at TAFE. Sarah-Ann teaches a range of different classes at both venues and is passionate about all her students and assisting them to succeed in whatever they set their mind to! Sarah has a natural bent to bring out the best in all her students!
